Edinburgh

Today was a much different adventure filled with more hiking, but entirely different scenery. The city of Edinburgh is beautifully lined with stone buildings as far as the North Sea and full of wonderfully nice Scots. We somehow managed to walk around the entire city and see everything that we wanted to see without the help of a map or a phone; I wish it was intuition, but definitely more like blind luck. Notable stops on the tour were the Elephant House Cafe where one JK Rowling hatched the idea of Harry Potter (yes we had an elephant shortbread cookie, yes the Scottish people know their shortbread), the famous Edinburgh camera obscura which is probably the only thing I will ever learn about in school and take the time to actually hunt down in real life, and the Edinburgh Castle where the Burnett Clan crest was hung (we're actually famous). Off to London tomorrow!
